ROCHESTER — One of the Lilac City's burgeoning businesses won't be slowing down anytime soon.
Gov. John Lynch announced on Friday that Albany Engineered Composites, an aerospace composites manufacturer and subsidiary of Albany International, will be expanding at its location on Airport Drive in Rochester. The company will be constructing a new plant at the site, directly resulting in the creation of 300 new jobs.
New investment in the existing operations is expected to create a total of 500 new jobs in the area by the middle of the decade, Lynch said.
"The number of jobs that are coming will affect more than Rochester," State Sen. Jackie Cilley, D-Barrington, said. "The fact they are moving their corporate headquarters says they are planning to be here to stay... they are making a long-term investment in the state of New Hampshire. They are not moving these jobs overseas."
